10 tips to improve your sales in 2012 (PART 1)

We will discuss in this quick blog, 10 simple tips which you can use to improve your sales strategy and increase your revenue for your business this year. This is part 1 of 2 with 5 tips this week and 5 more next week…

 

1-Review

To get going in the right direction, a review of what works and what does not work is necessary. Nobody knows YOUR customers better than you. Check what worked in 2011 and repeat it; while identifying what did not work and avoid repeating that.

 

2-Existing Sales

Like all businesses, you need to sell more in order to survive. Selling to new customers is always a good idea so start with some new targets. However, improving your offer/price/services and selling more to your existing customers is much more effective, and cheaper.

 

3-Loyalty

You should think about offering incentives or loyalty bonuses. Make sure to thank both your employees and customer for their continued support. How many suppliers of yours thanked you for their custom in 2011?

 

4-Adopt ASAP

Attitude – Be positive, useful and helpful

Strategy – You need to know where you are going with SMART targets

Application – Continue to do your best, focusing on solutions, not problems

Persistence – If your strategy doesn’t work first time, try another one

 

5-Learn and Host information seminars
